Hi All,
I am looking to start out as nail tech very soon. Would be grateful of recommendations of which gel
polish brand to use. I will be using an LED lamp and want to invest in a reliable brand, but a bit puzzled what to go for.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Who will you be training with?
What products do they use?

Most of the pro brands offer training for their products. I'd be wary of a training course that uses generic products and lamp as their information regarding cure times, and processes won't necessarily be correct. There is no 'standard cure time' etc. which some of these courses will tell you.

Hi trinity,
Thanks for reply. I have completed a basic nail tech course but this wasn't through a brand. I was looking to do some training through harmony and then using the gelish range. I have heard mainly good things for gelish but wondered if this is the most recommended by other nail techs?

There are lots of Gelish users on here, I'm not but try the search option for gelish which might offer some previous threads recommending training.

I'm a CND Shellac girl, and Gel2 both of which offer fantastic training options. CND via Sweetsquared and Gel2 through The Creative Beauty Group.

Hi Lorna,
I recommend Gellux, I have been using it for a while and have great results. It hardly ever chips just grows out, very long lasting. I do find it takes a little longer to remove that others I've tried though. I also like shellac but find the bottles smaller and more expensive but very easy to remove. Hope this helps :)

Isn't it a tough choice..
I use Cuccio Veneer have a look at them

I've tried a few but my preferred brand is also Cuccio

I am converting to CND. I have started my conversion courses with a local trainer and have purchase their lamp and products. What ever brand you use, you need to be using their lamp with their products or you could experience product break down.

I find best for money and outlasts a lot of other brands is ibd. X

I've always been a CND girl so I went with shellac. Absolutely great product, range of colours and easy off. No problems with it at all.
I have the CND LED light and I use Lecente for all my glitters and foils. They work really well together.

As I work from home now, I favour famous brands that clients will recognise as I'm sure it helps my advertising & marketing material.

Thank you all
