I am teaching myself to apply nail extensions and I would be grateful if anyone here can tell me each step, I have instructions and a DVD however the nails never last longer then a day and ive been practising for over a month now! Can someone tell me what they do step by step please I would really appreciate it!

This is a site for trained professionals, my advice would be take a proper training course.

Book yourself on to a training course , its the best & safest way for you to learn .

I have my NVQ level 2 beauty and will be working towards my level 3 from september just wanted to do nails without paying alot for a course.

You may want to post this in a different section of the forum. This is for professionals hun. We don't really like to tell those who are not qualified, how to apply extensions etc.

If you are wanting to do other peoples nails even if its just friends / family you really should do a proper course so you know how to do things properly/safely .

You won't get any help on this forum if you're not willing to pay for the course I'm afraid. I mean, why should we pay £££ for a course just to go and tell untrained people the tricks of the trade? Don't mean to be nasty, but the best advice you'll get for this question is book yourself on a good reputable course.

Don't have funds to pay for a class at the moment thats why I thought i would ask see if someone can help, I get it noone will.

You will get all the help in the world on here once you are undertaking formal training - this forum used along side training is invaluable. But this forum isn't for using instead of paying for formal training.

It's not that nobody will help you, it would be unprofessional and unethical to encourage someone to do nails who is not qualified to do so. If you are planning on doing nails as a business, you will not be insured if you do not have a certificate to prove you understand how to apply nail products safely. My advice would be to save up and undergo proper training so that you understand at least the basics of the nail application process!

I am currently training and would say classes are a must! Also I have the 'nail class' book which is fantastic try that. But If you are able to book a few classes I deffo recommend it :)

Abbie, these women are actually trying to help you. If you start off wrong and unqualified you really could damage someone and damage any future reputation you may want to develop.
I'm sure you will make a great tech as you certainly a self starter, that's great! Just do it right and i promise you wont regret it!!

This thread should really be closed now for many reasons, mainly the question has been answered.
