Hi, have been searching for some info on geleration.
Have had it applied 3 times now. Each time I have had the gel lifting on 3 (different each time) nails and nails breaking.
Had them soaked off and reapplied last Tuesday. Wednesday both thumbs had lifted, went back to salon and they reapplied. Now, 8 days later, I can lift 6 off and can see 2 breaks!
Am really disheartened - costs £30.00 a time with soak off and took 1 hour & 35 minutes last week. Should it take this long? Wanted nails to look great over hols - but they don't. Looked fab when 1st done. Also, last week they applied a build-up coat first to try and strengthen nails, but that can't have worked. Think I may go back to calgel at an old salon I used to go to.
Is it that some people just don't get-on with certain products?
Thanks for any advice you can offer.

It's hard to day why it's happening without seeing it being done, but I use geleration and can do it in 1hr with the nails lasting 2 to 3 weeks. I strongly suspect it's something in the way the therapist is applying it, probably not prepping properly or putting it on too thick. Do you mean the actual nail is breaking?! Can't quite see how a gel overlay could be causing that!!

Thanks for your reply.

At the side of the nail they are breaking. The gel is lifting up all together but the nail is breaking underneath.

Think I will try & get what is left on soaked off today (if any cancellations anywhere!) and go back to calgel after Christmas.

Just really frustrated with it!

Thanks

Why not go back to the salon you had it done and let them see the problem and soak it off or fix it?
