On Sunday I had my nails done at a salon for the first time. I asked for gelish and they said they had it. So agreed to have my nails done. But noticed the colour bottle was daisy but the top and base coat was gelish. It was a discount salon (not that all discount salons are bad). She soaked my old polish off in a bowl of warm acetone which hurt a bit and used a metal scraper to get the polish off, which I had is bad ( I had an at home gel on some of my nails). She also used kitchen towel to remove the tacky layer and the gels were done. Do I keep the gels I've had done on for now or do I get it removed and redone at a better salon. I also noticed the lamp was grabby and slightly damp inside. I will not be going back to that salon. Now I need to find a good salon in my Rea that will redo my nails for me. And one that has a good gelish range. One of my nails it's starting to peel a bit down the side. Or do I keep these gels on for the two weeks then go and get them done

One thing the colour looks a purple indoors and in dark light but outside and during the day it looks like a hot pink.

Try a different salon, normally on the sites such as CND shellac have a salon finder to use a certified salon near you, maybe worth a shot xxx

I believe gelish.com has a salon finder. I would go get it removed and reapplied by a reputable tech. The brands that supply professionals with these products have an entire line of products (base, color, top, cleanses, oils) for a reason. You are never suppose to mix lines like that.
