Does it really matter whether 1 or 100 questions were asked? What is more important is that any questions posted are answered. If they aren't then maybe the relevant people aren't online and so maybe bump the thread up during a more busy period. I

We're in August, children are on holiday, people are away and if the weather is good in the UK who wants to be in on their computer after the crap summer you've had so far?

I came on the pc yesterday morning and answered loads of threads so there were loads of questions about even if they weren't marked Q&A, so the site is still ticking along as it should.

As for chitchat, I used to find it pretty tedious at times, but now I know Sam is right; the chitchat forum gives us a sense of community. It gives those who may feel intimidated to post and reply in the main forums a chance to have their say too. Without the chit chat this forum would be humdrum.

... and maybe people are getting better doing a search - they get told to do it enough after all!

If it's any consolation Lell..........I started a thread this morning to do with nail techs and didn't get one reply, so I've deleted it. It seems that geeks are more interested in Chit Chat.

Hmmm... I also started a thread this morning, but no answers either. Should I delete it????

Please don't delete threads, remember we're not all in the same time zone. If you delete I don't even get the chance to see it.

I am very disappointed in the lack of support for the questions and answers weekend, Yes it was this weekend and a fab opportunity for lurkers, newbies and anyone who needed help to post there questions. We have some fab educators on this site and top techs who would have loved to help answer those questions but sadly they didnt get the chance.
Maybe we can try it again in a week or so

I didnt even realise that there was a Q&A day. This is the 2nd thing I didn't realise was on, I missed Brave Day too.

i work full time in a salon, and when i get home to check on the site and maybe help me with my day to day problems, its probably not until page 3 that i find some relevance!!!
not saying that chit chat is not allowed but the daisies keep the threads of interest up there!!!!

Most of the time I don't read the chit-chat, I go to professional only, I only look at all of them if there's only a few new threads.

I think this is actually just another moany thread.

What with all the nightmare stock & supply probs atm it seems a bit un-necessary, peeps have likely got more pressing problems to deal with.

I was'nt online over the weekend so I also missed the 'fun'.

I dont know it all but am willing to share what I do know.​

So heres an idea, hows about no more moany threads for a while (general comment, not meant to be personal), just a dose of good old-fashioned positivity?

ps: I'm kinda glad you cant neg me for this, lol.

But I do think Lellipop was trying to inject that bit of enthusiasm and fun back into the site, that has been sorely lacking of late, and as such could have had a bit more support.

Maybe we don't now need to label this as any kind of event...but just collectively start encouraging all these newbies to hit their keyboards, wherever, and whenever they want...and just ask away!!!

Sorry lel, I seem to do this a lot lately, I see something on here that I feel I really want to join in on, I respond, say 'yep count me in' and then I read a load of ...............stuff!! that totally disgusts me and I sign of before I deliver one of my long winded lectures and by the time I come back on again I've totally missed the party/ nail day etc:cry: and I had loads of questions about gel nails, coz I don't do them but think I'd like to, oh well next week it is then...........count me in:irked:
