Does it really matter whether 1 or 100 questions were asked? What is more important is that any questions posted are answered. If they aren't then maybe the relevant people aren't online and so maybe bump the thread up during a more busy period. I
We're in August, children are on holiday, people are away and if the weather is good in the UK who wants to be in on their computer after the crap summer you've had so far?
I came on the pc yesterday morning and answered loads of threads so there were loads of questions about even if they weren't marked Q&A, so the site is still ticking along as it should.
As for chitchat, I used to find it pretty tedious at times, but now I know Sam is right; the chitchat forum gives us a sense of community. It gives those who may feel intimidated to post and reply in the main forums a chance to have their say too. Without the chit chat this forum would be humdrum.
... and maybe people are getting better doing a search - they get told to do it enough after all!
