I have loose glitters I use with gelish. But once I do the top coat and wipe it's really rough. Do I buff it down and add another top coat?

Also, ombre glitter.. What's the best way to do? Thanks

Hiya,

I normally do 2 top coats if its a little rough x

I also do two thin top coats. You don't need to buff down the first layer, simply apply first layer of top coat, cure (don't wipe), and apply second layer.

Another thumbs up for double top coating, when you say glitter ombre do you mean a glitter fade, or using a couple of different coloured glitters? Could you post a picture of the effect you're trying to achieve?

I've never had to do 2 topcoats with gelish for ordinary glitter. Before top coating press the nail lightly with your thumb/finger to make the glitter lay flat. Then it will stay smooth.

For chunky glitter I use a layer of structure gel before topcoat or mix the glitter with the structure gel and then apply to the nail. x

Double coat sometimes if there it one that's really poking up I'll buff just that spot then top coat it.
