Hi guys i am a qualified hair stylist however not been doing it as long as some of you hair geeks on here so just asking for some advice! i am wanting to change my hair colour, currently i am a fudge 77.66 intense red, i know red is a nightmare when you want to change it, but is there any way i could get my hair to a base shade of 7 like a warm brown? i feel like going lighter! thanks x

I would do a bleach bath on your hair to lift the red out and then apply your target shade over the top. How light do you want to be ? Level 7 is a medium blonde. A warm brown I am thinking maybe 6/7. I am interested to hear other geeks replies as I will be doing a similar thing on a client except she is wanting 6/7 with caramel slices as her target shade.
Good luck:)

good trick to go from red to brown.... think of your colour chart, apply a pure green colour. It will turn it brown!!!

Hi,
I did mine lastnite,

i did a bleach bath, using indola, and 3%, had to do it a couple of times,so i had no patches, or banding, then put a 7.1 over the top,

as craig said, this is all about going back to basics : )
good luck., mine looks fab! I had base 6 roots, semi, base 2 mid lengths, and very red on the last couple of inches of hair(Nice!!)

but now it looks fab!!
hope it tuns out nice : ) xx

JUST TO SAY, THIS ADVICE IS FOR PROFESSIONALS, AND SHOULD NO WAY BE CARRIED OUT BY A CONSUMER.

red can be such a b:::h to get out if stripping!!! Get the green on it get it brown and then foil in some colours!!
