I am looking for a BRIGHT, SHINEY, REFLECTIVE gold polish please girls. To try and discribe what kind of gold I am looking for, try to visualise the bright yellow gold that they do Christmas decorations with. You know its so shiney you can almost see your reflection in it. Well that is the kind of gold I am looking for. Has anybody got a gold polish like that and can recommend it to me as I really want to do some gold tips but dont want to have them as a permenant tip as in sculpted. They need to be able to be removed with polish remover.

I really hope someone can help me with this one. Dont mind what I have to pay for it.

Thanks

I know it's not really professional of me to suggest but I once got an ace gold by lorel, will look out for it in my sess pit of a room- if it's only for you then it dont matter it's not CND, OPI etc

Thanks Katie. It does not matter what make it is as long as it is a real bright gold colour. I have never heard of Lorel, am I out of date here. Is this a really good make that I have never heard of ???? Am I showing myself up here?

I'm thinking Katie meant L'Oreal :D

If you don't have any luck then try Attitudes (from Sally's and Ellisons), I know it's a cheaper alternative but I use one of their reflectives in a gold and it's fab, I only use it in nailart and love the shiny, metallic colour. It lasts well too with no chipping.
I've got 4 or 5 of the metallic colours and can't complain about any of them.

Just bumping this up again in case anyone missed it. Thanks to those who have replied already.

I dont have anything as shiny or reflective as that - butif its just a temporary look have you thought about trying foil?

Gold Digger from NSI!

I have a gold varnish from Orly, which is lovely. Not sure if it would be reflective enough for you though! Xxx

Oh I tried foil, but just could not get the hang of actually getting the stuff off the strip and onto my nails. The foil look is absolutely perfect for what I am wanting, but I just cant get it to work for me. I have read tutorials, read instructions, followed them to the letter and no joy. It has to be me...... as I know others seem to be able to use foil.

Just have to face the fact that I cant pick the stuff up without ending up wanting to throw the whole foil pack out of the window.

Val if you go onto NSI website there are gold nail demos on there at the minute!

thanks will do.

thanks very much for that link. Had a look and see that its probably gold leaf that I need to get that look BUT regarding my previous thread about my poor results with foils I am wondering if the same thing will happen with gold leaf. Also is is difficult to get gold leaf to stay really smooth withough wrinkeling up. The look I am looking for is a really shiney, smooth, reflective gold just on the tips. So shiney you can see your face in it.

I have bought so many gold polishes in the past trying to find the perfect one and none of them are exclty shiney enough. But I have every faith in my fellow geeks advice. I will try those already mentioned so far.

Thanks
Val

Mad Beauty aka Toma make a gold polish called Champagne, but I'm not sure if it's "gold" enough for you.

Avon used to do chrome metallic polishes, I have a purple polish from their collection and it's very metallic!!

Have a gander, they may still sell them :)

xxxxxxx
