hi everyone,
i a have been trying to set up a home based hair and beauty business since July, i am considering given it all up. i have been doing beauty for ten years, and qualified in hair in July of this year, i have been building up my products and have spent a fortune, more than i a have had coming in, i am a single mum and i am struggling anyway, although i a have been doing bits and bobs mainly on friends and family, its not enough to cover costs, i was fairly busy in the summer, but now autumns come its dead quiet, I'm getting frustrated, clients that i have done haven't returned, which seems that they weren't happy, well they seemed happy at the time and took cards to give to friends. i have reasonable rates, and i am confident, what's gone wrong, i have advertised in stay local magazine, and i have delivered flyers. i have been thinking hard, shall i give up, shall i go and do more colouring and cutting courses, i have spent so much money on courses, if that's not going to work i cant waste any more money. their are a lot of home based salons in this area, about 4, if not more and there is about 15 salons about 7 offering beauty, and its only a small town, i think the area is swamped to be honest there's too
many, and what with the economic climate as well, i do not see much hope, i feel like crying, all my hard work and studying, think its gone down the drain. thing is i am so passionate about what i do, and i have had so much good feedback from clients. i have tried everything, and leave and breath hair and beauty, and i am now rethinking my career, but do not want to really.:sad::sad:
