My hair is breaking off! Its been bleached over bleach over bleach and I now have almost the whole of the T-section that is broken and about 3 inches shorter that the other layers. If I wash it and leave it its like a matted frizz and drying it and straightening it can only be causing more breakage. Is there a treatment that will help with the damage? I cant just have it cut off because my hair is just below my shoulders and the damaged bits are only about 4 inches long at best.
Help!!

Have you got a dry mullet?

Just cut it and start fresh.

In my opinion if the hair is already in that bad condition nothing can fix it really. You could coat it in silicone heavy products to make it look a bit better but in the end only cutting it will get rid of the damage. A cute short haircut still looks 1000x better than damaged hair. Just my opinion though.

Another option would be to cut as much of the damaged hair off as possible, that's if there's any salvageable hair? Then cut the rest a bit shorter and just have a longish bob with shortish layers.
There's no point holding onto dry, damaged hair just for the sake of having some length.

It will be like a never ending corridor. It can't be fixed so just chop it off.

Check local salons and see if they have Keratin treatments available. You can get a keratine based shampoo/condt which repairs the outer cuticle but a salon keratin replacement repairs the inside of the cuticle. Kerastace has a good shampoo/condt. Moroccan oil for leave in is a good addition too.

Thanks for your comments... I dont want to cut it off Alan thats the point!! I should try a Keratin treatment - is that what is generally referred to a Brazilian treatment? Moroccan oil just sits on the hair - doesn't seem to make any difference.

Listen, no amount of treatments will make it any better. A conditioning treatment will coat the hair and wash off, a protein treatment will make it feel better at first, then that'll wash out so you'll do another one and that'll cause even further damage. It may even cause further damage the first time around.

All you can do is cut it off. No other option.

I have the keratin revolution treatment done and that helps a lot with my damaged hair and it's the only thing that has helped me to get it in better condition but I do have trims every 8-12 weeks xx

Exactly, there you go, you get haircuts regularly and i assume thats more than likely all the damage cut off now.

Hair cannot be physically healed without olaplex from what is sounds like.

The only cure for dead hair is a haircut.

An olaplex treatment very well might stop the breakage, but if the cuticle is blown?? Not much is going to help that.

So if I have the Keratin treatment am I just wasting my £150 or thereabouts... its not cheap is it?

Gawd, it I get all the damage cut off I'll have hair about 2 inches short!! If I only get some of it cut off, I'm still going to have frizz. I guess just get it trimmed regularly and go for a shorter style...

You probably won't need that much cutting off, but then again I can't see it. Your hairdresser will know how much needs to come off

You must have known using bleach on bleach time and time again would f**k your hair up.
