I've been a Hairdresser for the past 10 years but mainly the cutting side. I've took colour correction courses but still I come across things I'm not sure of all the time. I had a lady with 1cm root base 7 ends 55/66 faded out extremely porous and level 10 on ends. I thought the best course of action would be to bleach the mid lengths roots and last of all ends. Target shade was caramel blonde base 7/8very vague. It lifted to base 9 but still patchy in places so I rinsed and covered with 7/1 and 7/3. When dryed client feels dull so had to go through and bleach foils which I have to say looked better! I just feel like I'm taking a long way for a shortcut sometimes and could I have done it differently to get the desired result? Can anyone help me? I'm so fed up with colour and never seem to get it just right.
