Hi,
So I was a dark 6RV. I wanted to go lighter without bleaching. So I used color oops, dyed my hair a medium ash blonde. I wanted to add some light highlights. Once adding the highlights (with bleach) my hair became very brittle and stringy and spaghetti like. Did some protein masks in my hair and I do not brush when it's wet. But, it's the for some roots and I want to go lighter and get more of the brassy out of my blonde(s).
Question is, is there any way? Strip the chemical from the color oops? A cleansing shampoo? Any way to get my hair lighter and ashy without my hair becoming brittle again? The hair stylist I work with is completely clueless. I can't be the only one with this problem:(
We will probably be doing test strands this time rather than going all in.
Please help my devastating hair situation.:confused:

If it's spaghetti like you have no chance of any professional doing anything to it without your hair falling out! Just go get a good moisture/protein treatment done in the salon (Kerstin) to help repair the damage and try keeping the hair hydrated! You could do some honey masks which might help with the colour but absolutely do not try to dye it yourself! That would just be a foolish move, since I am going to assume you really don't have much experience. Oh and try a purple shampoo, for the brass.

Yes your hair will become lighter if you carry on, lighter in weight, not colour!
If your hair is brittle, stringy and.spaghetti like, it's what's commonly known as...knackered!

No you're not the only one who has this problem, sadly lots think it's easy and just have a go. It's not just easy, its yrs of training and hard earnt cash to use these chemicals properly.

Avoid protine treatments like the plague, you're beyond protine, it will only suck up the last bit of moisture before you end up taking your hair home in a bag!

AVOID anymore chemical processes on your hair until you get moisture back in it and in decent cobdition, or again, you'll be picking it off the floor and putting in a bag to remember it by.

Get regular trims, and lots of moisture restoring products! No cheap nasty OTC products either who claim glossy flowing locks after 1 wash..They're filled with silicone and will cause further damage.. ..get your self some PHILIP KINGLSEY Elasisizer
