Hair dye help!

Hi so I'm new to this forum site and not a professional hair dresser but I'm need professional advice
I'm want to dye my hair a deep magenta red(will attach photos) but have darkest brown old hair dye in my roots and medium brown regrowth can anyone please tell me what I need to do to achieve the colour I want and what brand and colour/s dye I would need to buy to achieve it

Ummm in a word no! This is a pro forum.. You could try asking in the consumer queries but I think the most helpful advice you'll get is got to a salon!!

The best thing you could do would be to go into a salon, to change your colour so much would involve colour correction which isn't easy, can go horribly wrong and you really need to be qualified to understand it all......even I struggle and I'm qualified I know salons can be expensive, u could always try your local college, the hair training there is provided by proffessional hairdressers and level 3 students do colour correction and ridiculously cheap prices as colleges don't make profit from services

This is such a beautiful colour. You are best off going to a salon, they can ensure you get the best results and the best advice on maintaining it. Red has a tendancy to fade fast so you will need to know when to have it topped up. Hair colour is not like re-painting a wall. There is a science involved. If it was that simple to buy some product from a shop and put it on many ladies & gents here would be out of a job x
