So I'm booked in 3 weeks time and just working out my money for the month and now having second thoughts......I have fine bobbed hair and trying to acheive the Caroline flack look so I'm booked in for 50 bonds great lengths to thicken up hair....has anyone had extensions to thicken up hair and what's your experience?

I have had half head of extensions in before to just thicken up the sides because it's really thin around the sides and it makes a big difference too the overal look :) I have a bob so it just gave it more shape and look fuller and thicker. I do it on clients aswell

I'd say yes. It's amazing the difference just a half head of bonds can make to fine hair. My advice would be if you've got fine hair then just make sure the bonds you've opted for aren't going to be heavier than 0.5 gram. These lighter/finer strands will give you a much nicer, natural, looking blend and will camouflage more realistically within your own fine hair.

I've put some examples of mine here, hopefully it'll help show the difference a small amount of bonds can make to volume in fine hair:

First picture is 50 bonds total (0.5 gram weight per bond). (25 bonds per side only – no bonds in the back of head at all as client only wanted a graduated bob style to fill in her own short sides.

The second picture is 80 bonds total (0.5 gram weight per bond). Distributed throughout the back and sides.

My gosh what a difference with the second picture with only 80....I'm not sure what weight they are though, think I'm gonna go through with, I've always wanted extensions and if I don't try I'll never know!

This is 100 0.8 grams strands. Client likes to thicken up her natural hair and use extensions to add colour rather than having it dyed. This is Remi Cachet hair mini lock method.
