Hey im not a hairdresser so need advice. I got the glue in hair extensions and was wondering if i put a treatment in my hair will that effect them? Dont wanna wreck them, they cost a fortune ;) thanks :)

hi i dont do the pre bonds but i know if you use treatments and conditioners at the bonds it can break them down so i dont know if you would be able to just put the treatments from mid length maybe xx

hi im a nail technician working in a hair salon.... i have just asked the girls in ere and they said u can use the treatment on the midlength and ends but try and avoid the glue as it can cause the extensions to easily slide out/losen if jus had them done hope this helps :)

Thanks so much guys Ill do that

I am a trained extensionist and if it isn't too late I would say do not colour treat your extensions. The problem is they have only so much capacity for accepting damage...they are stone dead, after all...and you never know which is the time that will damage them beyond repair.
When that time arrives they will matt up into a nasty ball of felt. Truly. :-/
