Hey guys

Just a quick question

Iv just finished training with hair extensions and loving it had a few clients and all is going well. Its pre bonded that i do was just wondering how many bonds you usually put in peoples hair

I knaow it can be depending with the hair what to use but in my training i was told 100 bonda but have spoken with people and they are using alot more and im just wondering if what im doing is ok and if i should be using more. Every persopn i have done the hair has looked amazing even and thicker but just wondering if anyone can offer thei opinion on what they do

First of all this depends on a couple of factors like how many grams are the individual strands? For 1 g strands you obviously put in less stands than 0.5 g unless they want a full FULL head. Usually for 0.7 g hair which I use I put in 80-100 for half head and 170-220 for full head. 100 does not sound alot? But as I said it depends on each stand gram weight and size you use. But also the strand weight depends on the length. Here i am talking about 18 inch. But to be honest this is just a guide, everyone is different and some require more strands that are smaller to suit their hair and people with short hairstyles need more bonds to make it look natural. But generally a full head involves around 200 strands.

I would still use more than 150 at least for a full head. But if you say it looks good then that's okey. The most important thing is that it blends and looks full in the ends to avoid the ends being thin and wispy. But for a full head clients should expect to get over 170 extensions. x

thats great thanks ill start buying extra and seeing how it looks

I agree with the extensionist it really does depend on the clients hair. I don't really think you can apply the same amount to everyones hair.

I currently have 1g bonds in my hair and have a 100 in but it's not enough in my opinion.

I work to a rule of approx 100 for a half head, 150 for a full head and 200 for extra volume (assuming I can fit 200 in a head!!!)
