My hair is a level 8 with level 7 shadow underneath. I have been leaving it to get healthy before I bleach it. I mainly do colour strippers but they have stopped working. So I feel it's time to bleach my hair. I am currently doing a test strand but the lightener (blue bleach 20 vol) has not budged. it's been on for 45 minutes. My hair is porous but it doesn't feel unhealthy.
The first image was taken inside with cool lighting and the second was outside so forgive that. The second image is after the colour stripper. It supposedly shrinks colour particles and causes them to wash out. it hasn't altered my natural colour at all. The only damage I have noticed is that my hair feels dryer. But not anything extravagant. I did it about 2 weeks ago.
The first colour is alfaparf 8n which was covering a pastel pink (my roots were white... long story but it was not my intention to go pink. I was going white and was sold a colour depositing bleach rather then a toning bleach. It was my normal purple toned bleach... same brand but you should always read the instructions kids).
So is there any reason why the hair wouldn't lift? Could it be the colour remover did something to my hair? Does my hair seem over processed?
