Hair Toner question

Hi lovely salon geeks,

first of all thanks to everyone :hugs: who advised me earlier and because of that I have started mobile services and sooo glad to get my first colour client. Though I am a bit nervous but excited as well

My query is, what toner should I be using for my client's highlights?? I am going to do highlights on her black+previously higlighted hair with platine p with 30 vol, what toner can I use on her so as to get best results and impress everyone . I am thinking of something from diacolor gelee but still kinda need assurance from experienced geeks here. Plz plz tell me I am doing it all right or need to do anything else.........so nervous any suggestions and tips appreciated xxxxx

What's her base? Use no higher than 20vol in your bleach, what look does she want to go for? X

tnx for repkying hun.........well her base is 3 and wants an overall/full head highlights....about level 8 or 9, though I understand it's hard with that base colour....and I am assuming it might turn orangish......I have explained her the limitations.........but I personally need advice ......lol:o

Ok it won't do it!! And I wouldnt take her from a 3 to a 9!! That's my personal opinion but her condition of her hair will be awful! And won't suit her complexion. Tell her to choose a more complimentary(sensible) shade!

yea that makes sense......her hair gonna get damaged as well.......I will speak to her again about it. Let's say we agree on say level 6 or 7, should I just wash it off or use anything else, coz I don't want it to end up brassy looking ?

If you want it a biscuit blonde, digestive biscuit colour bleach and 20vol then flat base 5 for toner and watch it, is shevenglish?

I do this on a couple of Asian ladies and it looks lovely but I tend to try and lift it then tone with a base 6 (obviously depending on how much lift is achieved) always looks lovely biscuit blonde as blue said x
