Hair up possible

I'm not a hair up fan.

It's my sisters wedding next month and I'm getting my hair done.
I ideally want the below picture but with a fish tail braid.

My hair JUST touches my shoulders and my layers are approx 2inches shorter.

Is this possible to do and still look nice. Or am I being unrealistic.

I reckon like as you get to the bottom your layers will start to stick out.

I think your hair will not be long enough...notice the looseness of this braid....that requires some length.
If your hair is too short, it will be much tighter to your head, losing the whole 'vibe' of softness.

I'm not a hairdresser but if you like that style could you not get clip in extentions to help give it the length to do ?

If the hairdresser you're using is proficient in 'hair-up', I'm sure she'll be able to give you several pretty options that will work with your hair density and length.
