hairdressing competition

Hi

I am feeling very nervous as I have my nvq 3 college hairdressing competition tomorrow, the theme is nursery rhymes and I have chossen The North wind doth blow. I have spent 2 weeks making a costume and hair pieces etc. Today I am panicking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!arhhhhh xxx

hi hun what sort of thing are you going for ? are you going for a modern take on it ? or traditional .. i dont know why but i always tend to think of characters like little bo peep etc..
are you going for a full on blown by tornado look ? (hair poking out all over a bit like shaggy outta scooby doo when he gets scared ) , lol or are you going for something different ?
will be interesting to hear what you will be doing and remeber take pics ... its years since i did a hair comp , lol x

Hi

Its very avant garde! I have made a costume similar to the snow queen, (from an old quilt cover) sewn 150 bits of material (by hand) in white, cream, grey and blue to represent wind. Made a tornado hair piece, I am going to back brush and sweep the hair back, adding swirls. then decorate with twigs, leaves, and rubbish, Make up consisting of white body glitter, shimmering blue and body gems

Oh good luck! I have my Styling for a Total Look assessment for my NQ level 6 in a few weeks and still haven't finalised the costume for it!
