Hi all.

I want to expand in nails. I do GELeration and have now for 6 years and do Jessica manicure and pedicures. I would really like to offer some form of hard gel to offer to those clients who may not be able to maintain having the hybrid gel for a long time. What would you advise?

A salon I worked at offered Bio sculpture but I have no knowledge of the brands and quality really x

Bio is not hard gel. I always recommend Brisa.

Bio sculpture although not a hard gel, they have sculpting gel that has to be soaked & filled, you still get the slight heat spike with the sculpting gel like you will with uv buff off only gels. It just depends what your wanting to provide your clients with? You sound like more of a natural manicurist (gel polish, manis & pedis) so I'd imagine you possibly don't have the huge call for enhancements/extensions and your USP is natural nail treatments? I would recommend bio sculpture as there is such a wide variety of gels with the range or calgel X

I have never experienced heat spike with Brisa.

I have never experienced heat spike with Brisa.

Neither have I but I was explaining bio to the op. I have with lots of other uv hard gels [emoji4]

Hi,
I use Gelish hard gel for overlays & extensions. I've Always got along great with it.

Just to add Heat spike is usually down to application not the actual product. x

I have just done a translation course in Gelish hard gel and it was fantastic training. I really love the product too. It lasts really well. Good luck x

The heat spike I'm talking about with the bio sculpting gel doesn't seem to be just down to application as even the bio educator info us of this. I've used many other uv hard gels over past 18 years and I've experienced heat spike on myself and clients, nothing to do with application - but uv hard gel technology has advanced. I mainly use L&P and bio sculpture and also Cuccio t3 UV gels for hard gel which I find very easy to work with & long lasting.

I use Biosculpture and it seems to last pretty well on my clients the hard gel is available for sculpting too. I also experience the heat spike when using the bio gel and remember discussing this during the training I don't think this is due to application but we were told to make sure the gel went on the tip of the free edge gel I'm guessing this reduces the heat spike felt on the nail bed.
Bio has so many colours and options if gel that you can tailor to each client.
