Hello ladies,
I have recently started with chrome powders and I am experiencing chipping. I've read thru most of the post/treads and it seems the no wipe top cost when used with gel polish is the issue. Has anyone solved the problem? I've tried most of the suggested solutions with poor results. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ladies,
I'm from a small town in America which means we're 6 months to a year behind in nail trends. I have recently started with chrome powders and I am experiencing chipping. I have heard other complain about chipping but I have not experienced it. My chromes are locked on. What top coat are you using? Maybe you need to try a different brand. I use aczents before I apply chrome and after.

I get the impression the problem is when doing natural nails and that chrome/powders work best over acrylic nails? I can't for the life of me get longer than 3 days when it wears off! So frustrating

Try using a primer like young nails protein bond on the tips then apply top coat to seal.

Application for natural nail that has been prepped
1. Base coat - cure for recommended time
2. Color coat - cure for recommended time
3. Repeat step 2 if necessary
4. Apply non wipe top coat- cure
5. Apply chrome or pigment of choice
6. Apply primer 2 tips
7. Top coat- cure
8. Repeat number 7

I apply 2 coats of non-wipe top coat after the chrome and it lasts really well

I find this is luck of the draw I think it’s the fact that the last top coat over the chrome has not any thing to attach to could try a base over chrome and finish with top coat. I have found some clients seem to last longer than others. I found some brands of chrome are also better than others.
