Hi, just wanted to know if anyone has used a mobile backwash unit & if so are they any good??? I have a freelance/mobile hairdressing business and for years i've managed perfectly well without one but now i'm just wondering if its worth investing in one for a bit of extra client comfort?

I've been thinking about getting one too.. I've also seen 'mobile salon' type things.. Basically a mobile styling section and chair that folds up into a case that you carry! :)

funnily enough, i've been wanting one for ages, but wasnt sure about them. I've just managed to buy a comfywash which if you google it you'll see what it is, it just fits over most kitchen sinks, used it first time today, fantastic. They have gone out of production now but if you email the man who made them directly, he's been selling the ones he's had stored up for £30. He is really quick to reply and sends them out first class, i got mine within 2 days of payment via paypal. its [email protected].

Oooh, thanks guys i havnt seen the 'mobile salon' thingys i'll google it & have a look! I saw those comfywash things a couple of weeks ago on ebay they actually look quite good i might go for one of those for now (as they seem a bit cheaper!) thanks for the web address!!!

I managed to get the comfywash and my clients love it, they say they feel like they're in a salon and it's not bulky to carry around. Looked into the case with chair, mirror mat etc, but it's just another thing to carry about, I've drive a big car and my boot is full as it is. Very rarely leave the house without my usual case containing scissors, combs, gowns, dryer etc, then another bag with tint, peroxide etc, another box with products and towells for rest of the day. Don't think I could face another thing.

Everything comes from ebay with me. But most of the ones on ebay you have to get.your.client to put a strap around them to support it. But they need to do nothing with comfywash

Well, i think the comfywash it is then!!! It seems to be the more practical option, the boot in my car is big and very full too so it would probably be better for me to get something like the comfywash so its not taking up too much room and you guys all seem pleased with them!x

I just purchased mine from Wilkinsons, I have 2 a single and a double, can't find one to fit square taps properly. Tend to use a good ole fashioned jug 50% of the time though.

Oh i Hate my shower extensions they are soooo bad, they hardly ever fit on anyones taps!!!! I bought mine from a D.I.Y shop! I dont know how i havnt broken anyones taps yet coz i have to wrestle with it to get it on!!!:irked:haha

I have been using one for a while now. They are not very comfortable at all. But they are cheap and they serve their purpose well. Hopefully, the client is not there for too long!
I work from home and no-one really complains.

Update on the shampoo tray... Verdict is... Fab!! I absolutely love it!!! :-D

Cancel the mobile station save over £150 and make your own! An artist easel with a nice mirror on top! Spent £30 in total looks trendy the styling mobile station looks cheap and expensive for what it is!
