Hi,

I had HD brows today at my local salon.

There is one HUGE problem.......the therapist has waxed my eyebrows and they are very different.

So much so that one is now higher than the other and one is longer than the other, oh yeah, they're not the same shape either.

Is there anything that I can do to make them look half decent until they regrow?

Help please xx

Oh my goodness Hun!! Did u notice this in the salon??
Was there Norway another therapist there could have sorted it?

Only thing I can think of is if you pencil it in? Doesn't seem like much else you can do except to take more off one if them till they match and you don't really wanna do that!

Hope it gets sorted for you! Xxxx

I'm absolutely gutted.

I don't really want to take anymore off because that one is about the right shape. She was the only trained beauty therapist in the salon and the owner could only say sorry.

I've called my hairdresser to see if she can cut me a fringe in before Monday.

They are horrendous 😢

Thank you for the reply x

Was the therapist actually hd brows trained as not all beauty therapists can do HD Brows all legitimate HD Brow stylists can be found on the HD Brows website salon finder. If they are not on there they are not trained.

Did you have to pay for this? If so i'd ask for my money back and maybe contact the HD Brows head office so they can speak to the salon they wouldn't be happy about this standard of work.

i'd also make the salon pay for you getting a fringe put in!

Bless you! Did they make you pay for this?! Have you got any pencil or pallet on them in the picture? They look very dark which I think isn't helping. No ones eyebrows are both the same so you will always get one slightly different to the other, but this is very extreme! If I was to correct these I would take off a row of hairs from the top just so they don't look, I completely understand you won't want them messed with again so unfortunately you only other option would be to let them grow. Is the salon on the HD brow salon finder? Xx

I used the HD brows website to find all trained therapists in my area. I then looked at the reviews for the salon and they were good.

I left the salon and then I had a good look at home and realised how bad they were so I went back to the salon and the manager couldn't really say anything but sorry.

The therapist said that she would remove the powder and wax the other one so it was the same.

I obviously declined and asked for my money back (£25) as I didn't feel that I should pay for this.

The only option for me now is to have a fringe and I'll be using my usual hairdresser not the salon. How do I report this to HD? I've been looking on the website and I can't find anything.

Thank you for the replys.

Attached is what my brows usually look like after a tint/wax/thread.

I know that it's tricky to get them identical but I feel that this is a major error on the waxing side, would you agree?

Thanks

Would you be able to post a picture without the make up on them? I think it's making them look a lot worse (I really hope you do have the pallet on them in the first pic) looking at the second picture I can't see how she's made one so much higher without taking a massive amount of hair from your other brow. The finishing is the hardest part of the treatment to master, if she's not competent, which she obviously isn't she shouldn't be charging full price for the treatment! I'll find you the email address now xx

This is the picture without and powder/pencil on after today's treatment.

Thank you for this help.

I don't know how she's done it.....

Ok, well good news is you defiantly don't need a new fringe cutting in! I can see that she has actually created quiet a nice shape for you. From your picture of your brows before (normal tint/wax and thread) I can see that your left brow sits slightly higher than your right, which is completely normal. The shape that you normally have is quite rounded, so shes tried to give you a more 'HD Brow' shape, which isn't for everyone and can take some getting used to.

What she should have done is explain to you in consultation that your left brow sits slightly higher than your right, You would be put onto a regrowth programe so that each time you come she will be able to take a row of hairs from the TOP of that brow and a line of hairs BELOW the other so that she will eventually be able to balance them out for you. Its not something that can be done in one treatment or you would have one very thin brow. The only other thing i would try to do with your brows is move your highest point of your arch at the top inwards slightly - again this would be a gradual movement, taking a few hairs at a time during each treatment. This will enable you to have more of a 'tail' to your brow. Also your left brow needs to be grown in a little bit more towards your nose, which will even them out alot more. Again this is just regrowth and knowing where needs to be left to grow in when waxing.

I hope all that makes sense. Do let me know if you want me to explain anything again...I'm starting to ramble.

Unfortunately for you, your therapist hasn't yet mastered the art of finishing. I don't know (and I'm being completely honest) That this would warrant a full refund. The idea of finishing with the make up is to show the client the result you ultimately want to achieve, with their natural brow.

If you would still like to complain to HD, you can go onto their website and click onto the 'contact' at the bottom. You can forward your comments to them and ask for an email address so that you can attach the photos. The only comment i would make is that prehaps this girl needs more models to practice on before they charge clients the full amount.

I hope this has helped, your brows really aren't bad at all. I'm just sorry that you've had a bad experience. xx

Ive just seen you're in Staffordshire! Could you PM me where you had them done, I'm interested! If you do decide to have them done again, i would love to do them for you, i'm in Stoke!xx

Misslease has given you excellent advice looking at your before pic and after pic without make I think the same. Miscommunication and the therapist not explaining everything clearly to you could be the problem rather than the actual treatment/skills of the therapist. Unfortunately your brows were not even to start with and the complete HD Brow is very rarely perfected in one appointment (only 20% of the time in fact, 60% of people need 2 or more appointments).

One other point I might add is some salons have more than one beauty therapist but only one of them might be trained in HD Brows on the salon finder it should say the name of those qualified i advise asking for them by name. In my salon there are 3 therapists but i am the only one trained in HD Brows. I know a few people who've been to HD salons only to find out the therapist that treated them wasn't trained or had only had in house training after they complained. and i'm struggling with a similar situation in the salon where i work at the minute.
