What is the difference between hd brows and high brow?

I can't comment on HD brows as I haven't trained with them but I'd say obviously they are different brands but both a similar treatment of a high definition brow look, with hi brow I begin with a consultation, then agree with the client what they want to achieve, recommend if any homecare products are needed such as growth serum, then the treatment is performed, aftercare given along with recommendations of treatment etc.
From what I gather if you have no brow experience High Definition (formerly HD brows) will train non therapists (I think they are 2 day course?) but Hi Brow require already trained therapists as Hi brow is a one day course but intensive. My area is saturated with HD techs so this is why I opted for hi brow for something different, I still do a lot of Hi Brow treatments.

I am trained in wax, thread and tinting. So do u think the high brow would be better for me?
If I train in high brow can I still use the HD products?

You might need to think about this from a different angle.

For instance, it's not the same as being trained in Acrylics at college and then choosing to use a different brand of Acrylic on your clients. That's perfectly fine.

However, if you trained in gel and advertised a 'Shellac manicure' but used say, Gellux on your clients, you'd be guilty of Misrepresentation.

With HD Brows, its ALL about the BRANDING. They have spent £'s to protect their brand.

If you advertise to clients that you offer HD Brows, you are legally obliged to be trained by HD Brows and to use their products and follow their steps exactly as stated.

Alternatively, you can choose to use a variety of products and advertise a 'brow treatment service' but you can't legally call it HD Brows, otherwise, you risk being sued.

Does this help explain the situation?

You would really use the brand you train in - that's the whole point of it, been able to offer the whole treatment & homecare. If you want to use HD (or High definition as they are now known) then you need to train with them - you can't just buy HD pro products they want you to train with them.
You can't advertise a branded service if your not using the whole system.
Hi brow training includes a work station with all products and salon listing on the Hi Brow site.
High definition also have their kit you receive with their training plus now they also include the virtual stockist with the training.

I'm a qualified MUA, so I knew more about brows than just tinting, threading & waxing prior to training - it's about face shapes, eye shape etc.

Both are obviously fantastic companies to train with but for myself I choose Hi Brow because I liked the brand. I charge the same as others in my area who do HD. I've recouped the cost of my training ten fold with Hi brow.

It depends on you as a therapist, do you want the highly marketed HD or a lesser known brand?
