Hi.

I know some people may find it a silly question as I know a lot of you have been doing this a long time. but I am a newly qualified level 2 student starting my level 3 in sept. but in the mean time I am planning on going mobile to build up a bit of a client base.

My question is I have read on a few posts on here that people order colour from a rep or stockist and get colour charts thrown in with their purchase. I am trying to find somewhere to buy colour in bulk and colour charts with. at reasonable prices. but I don't know where to look. I have seen the offers on sallys/salon services 11 tubes for 10 etc. amongst others. but would like to know if theres anything else I can do to keep cost down?

I live in the Huddersfield area west Yorkshire if anyone knows somewhere local that could help me?

thankyou in advance for any help and advice :) x

When you build a rapport with your wholesaler they usually give you charts and things anyway, most reps won't do mobile stylists they tend to only do salons, I use a local independant wholesaler & have a great relationship with them so I stick with them for my colour & get my retail products from a rep

When I do mobile clients I just buy the colours that I need for them, I don't bother buying in bulk. You may end up with colours you never use. There's lots of places to get colours and colour charts from i.e salons direct, sallys, Alan howard etc etc

thankyou for your help after asking around a few hairdressing friends I have decided to just buy as I need now. this seems to be the easiest way when mobile x

If you buy wella from alan Howard's you can collect stickers so this is in any of the wella products and when you have collected so many you can get a free colour chart they do it on the kp range and I think the colour touch range

I've tried to upload you a picture of an old one I've found but I will just type it instead so here it goes .....
For every item of kp, colour touch, colour fresh, wella professionals care and style products, litre of welloxon perfect/colour touch emulsion you get one stamp. (This may have changed as it's an old one I've found in my room at my mum and dads)

For 10 stamps you can get one of the following:
1 tube of either kp/colour touch/colour fresh
1 wella professionals care/style retail product
1 bottle welloxon perfect/colour touch emulsion 500ml

For 20 stamps :
2 tubes kp/colour fresh
Shade chart for either kp colours or colour touch
1ltr wella prifessionald care shampoo

But like I said this ones old so may be slightly different
