Good question ... it can be nearly impossible to tell sometimes, but if there is a tiny bit of product still clinging to the nail, then dont worry about it. If it is on it is on. We rebalance over product that is on the nail all the time. Usually once you have cleansed the nail with Scrub Fresh then you can see which is nail and which is product. It isn't a problem if there is no lifting.

Sometimes I have found it a tad hard, and always worry that I might hit the nail (with the file/e-file as the case may be) and wondered if I might be going mad. Nice to know I'm not the only one that finds it tricky at times, and that even the greatest of Geeks has a wee hitch now and then, hehehehe:lol:

I do find that using a nail-cleanser/dehydrator helps to find the difference though:green:
