So it may seem seem dumb but where I come from just didn't like so many of the salons environments and forever my husband and I wanted to move to the beach. After I got my license I didn't get it for a while because they kept some how losing or not getting my proof of schooling.
So until I got my license I didn't go looking for a salon job, all the while I had also been working in a restaurant for a long time and had been moved up to server and was making more money. However I had some very unpleasant experiences with salons and their attitudes so I have to say I felt a little defeated and a need to move on.
Then when my husband and I were going to move I got an interview with a great salon down there but we had to put the move on hold. I did hair of friends, family and co-workers but all the while working at the restaurant. And once again hit a snag. My husband lost his job so I really couldn't afford to give up my pay and busy schedule to try to build clientele at a salon since I we was picking up extra days and supporting us.
Well finally my husband has a great job to the point that I don't have to work and we live by the beach but now it's been almost 3 years that I've had my license and I just feel like I'm trying so hard I went everywhere I've had interviews, I'm kind of interning at a salon but obviously I'm not really getting paid yet! And I like it there but I don't know if she will end up hiring me and if she doesn't I'm worried no one will, even just to be a receptionist or an assistant and am now feeling a little discouraged so if anyone has tips or anything for my long pathetic story that would be great! Thank you
