I'm not a stylist but am seeking some professional advice.

For years I've highlighted my hair (I think I'm natural level 5?) my blonde has always been warm toned. My regular stylist for years commented to me saying that my hair always goes warm.

I got sick or brassy yellow hair. So I dyed it dark. The stylist dyed it dark auburn. I ended up hating it even more. I strongly disliked the warm red tone. So from then on I kept dying it a brown to cover the red. The colour would wash out then turn to lighter red.

So just recently I aimed to go blonde again with balyage technique. The first session was great! It got rid of the red and I was a bit lighter. I went back a second time and she balayged again to go lighter and hated it immensely. It is now mostly orange yellow :(

What should I do?!? I'm considering wanting to go back a bit darker. Kind of like a dark blonde. Is that possible ? Why can my hair never get to the correct level?

What would you suggest my hair colour be ? I feel more like myself when I have blonde in my hair.

I really don't know about hair colours so any help and insight I would really appreciate so much!

Yes it is possible. And simple to do with the base and colour you already have, but site rules, we can't give non pros chemical advice

If you clearly stated you didn't like the warm and brassy look and carried natural warmth, why on earth did she suggest an Auburn?! Knowing damn well it will fade with hot tones, not just warm.

Apart from suggesting you find another stylist who is competent in colouring, the only other thing we're allowed to tell you is tell her straight, you don't Want warmth.

She should know her colour wheel and what tone will counteract another.
