Hi im quite new here so i thought seeing as you all sound like excellent techs who know their stuff that you may be able to help me! Ive done some training in L&P and covered fabrics, gels etc in my vtct course. However i only do Creative L&P at the moment which i love but; some clients want an alternative, and i dont know which ones best?! Which gives best results etc, which easiest to use etc!
One client also commented she used to have fabric done somewhere which she just used to "dip" her fingers in, ive not heard of this before? Sorry im a bit slow!

Any help suggestions etc would be greatly received!

Thankyou!

Hi,

Type in the word "backscratchers" inthe search facility, you will get loads of info on the dipping system.

I have always believed in being 'full service' in my business and love doing all systems well.

Personally I don't promote one system over the other. All the systems I use are as strong as each other and they all last well and I have no problems with any of them (only a few problem clients  ). The system I use is up to the client (if she has a preference) or up to me If I have a preference on the day!!

I love doing all types of nails and using different systems breaks up the monotony of only using one.

Thanks for that geeg and trinite, wow fast replies! Im just a bit weary that im not perfect at my L&P and so dont want to take on another system without being fully competent in L&P, Im not sure im confused! I would love to try other two systems but as i said im scared that id get really bad at L&P if i werent doing that one all the time!
Also how would you differentiate between the three systems when offering them to clients?
Thanks

Oops sorry trilite!not trinite!

If I had a choice between Fibreglass or gel, I would probably choose Fibreglass first. Reason being is it will probably be the easiest of the two to master. Then when you have fully mastered L & P, move onto the gel.

I did my training the other way round. Started with Fibreglass, then gel (which are the two services I offer) and I'm now trying to get to grips with L & P.

Gel is non-porous so is generally said to be better for people with their hands in water... ie mums with young children, hairdressers. However, I can wear all systems (have three young children) and have no problems. Fibreglass is ideal for thin, weak nails, also very natural looking.
