Hello everyone:) . I´ve been a member here for a couple of weeks. Fairly new to nails, came to the UK and did a day´s training on gel nails which was fairly interesting and I felt, quite good. So far I´ve been practising on my own nails with mixed success. We were taught using Millennium products and so of course straight after the course I bought all the products we were taught with which incidentally cost a small fortune! So far from the few sets I´ve done on myself, I´ve learnt that it´s not good to paint the gel on too close to the surrounding skin area lol but apart from that I´ve been quite impressed with the results!

I bought a box of Gold Tip Millennium tips but I prefer french manicure. Presumably you buy the white tips for them but I wondered what happens when you blend them, do you lose some of the whiteness and have to paint it on with white polish?

I was persuaded by the trainer to buy the Millennium products for french manicure but I´m confused as to which order I should apply the gels. Perhaps someone can help me out here?

I have:
Millenium Base Gel
Millennium Platinum French White
Millennium Platinum Gel
Millennium Gels Pale Pink

I did try to do a French Manicure with the gels but wasn´t at all impressed by the colours, it just seemed very colourless to me and certainly the Millennium Platinum French White was barely noticeable. I´m a little bit p%¤##%¤ off as just those 4 gels cost me around £50!!!

Because I wasn´t impressed with the french manicure I have just stuck to using the Millennium Platinum Gel and applying nail varnish if I want some colour but seeing as I´ve got these coloured gels I should be using them. I did have a go at the french manicure again but it started to bubble. I´m presuming that I applied products in the wrong order or used the wrong gels for that process.

Anyway this a bit of long post but any advice would be really appreciated. Incidentally I did email the organisation I trained with but surprise surprise after over nearly 3 weeks I´ve not had a response. Why is it when you do training the trainers are always happy to give out their contact details and tell everyone not to hesitate to contact them, they´ll help you as much as they can. I´ve now had queries on 2 different training courses I attended with different training organisations and neither has got back to me :( OK rant over:)

Hiya,
I am sorry but I don't use Millinium products.
But I would say Millenium Base Gel -use first
Millennium Platinum French White-use 3rd
Millennium Platinum Gel -finish with
Millennium Gels Pale Pink-use 2nd

Hi

I dont use Millenium products so sorry I cant advise you on how to use their product range but one thing I did notice in your post was that your mentioned about blending white tips. You dont blend in white tips. By blending in white tips you will loose the shape of the tip as you have found out, and it will ruin the finished appearance of the tip.

You gently take the shine off the tip so that the product will adhere better to the tip and you can thin out the top edge of the tip (at the free edge) so it isnt as bulky. But where the ridge is where you have glued it to the nail you fill this with product, be it Gel or L&p.

Hope this helps (and I hope I have explained it properly to you)

Love
