Hi I used the VIP status from shellac range today and had a feeling there was something wrong with the polish but thought nothing of it! It would drag at the end of the nail and go almost stringy! My client returned a matter of hours later with some 'wrinkled' and 'bubbled' I cured the thumbs completely separate when I re did it, however it just peeled off! The base coat was left shiny on the nail and when the colour peeled off it was sticky underneath as it hasn't cured can someone help please :(

The first things to check would be:
What brand of light did you cure with?
Did the bottle of VIP come direct from S2 or Ellisons?
How old is the VIP, has it been stood in the heat or on a window sill?

Hi it's under a 30 second led light I shall check the make but it was from salon services, the VIP we only bought in November and it's not in sunlight or extreme heat or anything

I think the first thing to change would be your light. You can only guarantee a full cure with the CND light. You can only purchase these from S2 or Ellisons. Also, your insurance is only valid if you follow the manufacturers instructions.

Give the VIP a good stir too, It will only give a very sheer sparkle so if you are looking for a heavier coverage then apply 2 thin coats, curing each one correctly. Don't be tempted to do one thick layer - doesn't work! :)

Thankyou for your advice! I wasn't aware of this! My client said she's had shellac done in a different salon and they apply it thickly! And it lasts ? It goes sort of stringy at the end no other colour has done this?L

Probably not proper CND Shellac. People are starting to call all gel polish shellac the way we call all vacuum cleaners a Hoover iyswim !
