highlight advice

hello iv got a woman booked in for a few highlights itl just be a few through plastic caps shes got dark hair which has been home coloured few time i would say its about a number 2 so shes looking for a change so we both decided few highlights to brighten her up so im looking to get acheive a nice goldeny colour maybe caramel so what would you think colour wise would be best il need to bleach the highlights first obviously to get rid of the dark so what would you do?

she seems quite fussy and i dont want the goldeny colour look orangey to her we know how theres a fine line lol

Incompatibility test first.

Then if that's ok do a test on a piece of hair to see if the colour will actually lift off the hair. Don't want to do all the work for no result.
