Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me....
I recently had an eyelash extensions course. After training of friends and family I feel ready to start to have paying clients.
I was thinking to start a home business. Do you think people will actually come to my house or would it be better to be mobile? The only problem is that I don't own a car so it would be hard for me to bring bed chair and all the rest of the things I need with me.

Is anyone out there who does business from home? how it it? do you have many clients?

Thank you so much

G

Hi
Lots of us work from home and it's great for keeping your overheads low and working around family life.

Most clients are happy to come to your house but you need to present it professionally.
These are my personal thoughts on the must haves in an ideal world for working at home:
Private or free parking
Designated room set up preferably on ground floor
Good heating / cooling
Quiet
Wear a professional uniform always
Own website, email address and salon Facebook page
Set fixed hours that work with your family & partner
Offer as many different treatments as you can to draw in a good number of clients

Most of these points are also relevant to going mobile but I have always preferred working from home as you don't have the travel & set up down time.

Check with your council to find out if you need change of use planning permission before starting from home.
Good luck! [emoji4]

Thank you so much for your reply.
How do you advertise your business? business cards? online?

When I started I set up a website, salon Facebook page and did loads of leaflet drops around my area.
