How long for a spa pedicure

How long does it take you to do a Spa Pedicure and how long should it take.

I was under the impression that it is a 60 min treatment but it took me an hour and 20 mins to do one yesterday.

Can you give me any tips on cutting down my time? I already have everything laid out ready.

It takes about an hour, I usually end up taking a bit longer than I should lol

We can't help you reduce your timing unless we know the routine you've got.
What part of the treatment do you think is taking longer than it should?

If the cuticle has a lot of build up then it will take longer, if your client comes to you regularly then you'll find the timing for cuticle removal will take less time as there won't be the same build up.

Approx 5 minutes (give or take a minute or two).

I take 1hr15mins, but in that Ive added a paraffin wax treatment and extra massage as Im qualified I thought it would be a nice added extra!

You need at least an hour or 1hr 15 mins for a spa pedi. If rushed it wouldn't be very luxurious.

You can't perform miracles for those clients who have badly neglected feet. Do what you can in the time and I am sure they'll see a megga improvement.

Same here Christine, i love doing pedicures as they make such a difference, and i always take longer than an hour for a Spa Pedicure. The client needs to relax and enjoy all those luxurious products!!

When I do Spa pedicure, it takes me about 1hr 20mins too.

To be honest I reckon it's because I really get in to the massage part of the pedicure. I kind of lose track of time.

I agree with Tiger, I get really into it aswell!! I think as long as you take your time and make it as relaxing as possible and dont rush, then about 1 hr to 1hr 30 mins should be fine. xx

I take abou 90 minutes so I'm relieved to see I'm not the only slow bod, but i do all the steps and make it a mega pamper. Boy does it make a difference to their feet, it's a lovely pedicure to give and receive!

I generally allow 1 1/2 hrs for a SpaPedi - But if it takes more or less time (I have spent 2hrs before) I don't mind.
It is important to me to make sure I get the job done as well as possible, so if my clients feet are bad, I will spend longer (I love the wow factor that a good pedi on bad feet can create!).
I suppose if I worked in a salon I would think differently, but as I am mobile and I only do one client an evening, time doesn't need to be an issue for me.

I too take up to 90 mins, and I enjoy giving them just as much as the client enjoys receiving them.

the thing with pedicures is that no 2 client will have the same problems on their feet...I have one client that needs lots of care on her calluses as she forms it really thick and quickly. Others have no calluses at all...so I do not think you can really count time for each service you provide. A spa pedicure is a hole package, and nothing should be rushed.

If you follow your steps, and work on each step to perfection, the client will be satisfied and so will you.

Your last client took you 1h20, and tomorrows client might take 50 minutes...just as long as you did all thats needed, time is not an issue.

I always tell my clients that a spa pedicure might take up to 1h30 hours, just to be on the safe side. If a client feels this is too long, then I suggest just getting a basic pedicure where I do not offer the mask, massage or other components of the spa pedicure.

Love doing my Spa Mani's and Pedi's - the products are so lush it is quite easy to just get carried away with the time, takes me up to 1 1/2 hours too!

5 spa pedi's...wow!!

Thats gonna be a long day hard on your back! As much as love to give a spa pedi, I often like to make a set of nails in between as it is quite a workout on the back!

I agree with Nancy - 5 straight after one another is going to be a strain - what type of seating equipment are you going to be using? Be careful on your back and try and get somebody to help you with some bits if you can.

Well thats scared me!
I am Spa therapist (cruise ships) but decided to expand and study beauty

I have 2 pedicure assessments in tomorrow and we are allowed only 50 minutes
For our assessments to include consultation, soak, filing, cuticle work, buffing, exfoliation, massage, rasping and painting. I was worried enough but I thought it was a confidemce thing now im even more scared! Wish me luck getting it all done in 50 mins. We are allowed 60 mins for luxury if we include mask which is one of the range we have to cover.
