Just curious you guys with experience
How long does it take to complete a full set of nails including a gel colour
and infills with a gel colour

45-50 minutes for plain acrylic nails and top coat.

55-65 minutes for acrylics with Shellac/Shellac & foils, glitter etc..

Same for infills.

I do a full set sculpted with glitter underneath with shellac and swarovskis glitter etc 2 hours

Full set without colour - 45 mins

Full set with colour - 60mins

Full set colour and art 60 - 75 mins

Infills 60 - 70 mins

:)

I've been doing nails since June last year and it takes me 1hr 30/45. Infills about an hour. I was doing them in an hour Christmas week but I like to take a bit more time usually.
Wish I could do them in 50 mins! [emoji85]

Book out less time and you'll do it!

I do it cos I like to work under pressure, if I give myself longer I don't end up with a gap I just work slower and it annoys me... I'm an odd ball :D

I can do it in an hour although I'd rather not. Summer and Christmas is manic so I have to be quicker to fit the appointments in but it's not how I like to work.
I prefer to have more time as the vast majority of my clients want nail art and I also like to enjoy my work and don't want my clients to feel rushed.

Ohhh, I love my work! All arty, I just like to work under pressure, clients aren't aware of it, it's just the way I work... They get a drink, re-booked and their loyalty cards stamped... No rushing involved! :)

Ya know I did that Christmas week and I managed it, I worked better under pressure and weirdly my nails were better too. BUT I suffer with anxiety so it does me no favours...I nearly had a panic attack once or twice [emoji23] so I couldn't cope like that all the time. I do find myself booking out a little extra just incase they want something I'm not prepared for but even if I do something simple I take the same time, strange isn't it x

My issue is I suffer anxiety waiting for people so those minutes waiting for my next client are really frustrating for me. I do back to back and whilst making my next ladies drink etc I'm booking my first one their next app...

This job really has sent my anxiety sky high I never used to be this frustrated about everything :o

We all work differently don't we, guess if it works for us and our clients that's what matters :) xx

60-75 mins new set with shellac
Add on anywhere between 10 and 30 mins for nail art (this is why I hate it lol) it's the choosing and faffing and tweaking [emoji23]

Same for me. Not worth cutting corners to reduce your time. Charge a bit more instead.

I allow 15mins in between clients which keeps the schedule running smoothly all day without stress.

I don't want to be any quicker I take as long as I need lol

Can't understand why it's assumed different time scales must mean techs cut corners, work in a stressful environment or do it to earn more...

We all work at different paces, so long as our work is up to standard and clients are happy I'm not sure why these things would be assumed.. There's no right or wrong time scale.

I book out 2 hours for everyone (acrylics)

I book out two hours for enhancements for everyone, that way I know I've allowed time for extra nail art as my clients often don't know what they'll want until the day. And because I'm slow, it's how I work, if not I worry I've missed a step even when I probably haven't. We all work differently I've been doing nails for years I know of techs who take half the time.

I book out two hours for acrylic, it takes me around 1.5 hours. I HATE working back to back, I can't concentrate properly on the job I'm doing as I'm constantly clock watching. I like to have around half an hour between clients to clear up and sort stuff out before next client turns up.

A lady asked me last night if she would be done by 7 and her app was 6.30 and she wanted her mma acrylic taken off and new set sculpted on

Erm [emoji52][emoji52][emoji52][emoji140][emoji8]
