i everyone!

after reading about a million articles on extensions here, i was wondering how much hair on average you all put in someones hair when using the pre bonded method?

i usually apply about 100 - 150g of hair depending on length of natural hair and result required.

i see people saying they regularly apply 200g of hair, just wondering what everyone does, and what you have found best for client comfort and satisfaction

also asking this as i was trawling facebook (as you do!!) and there is a girl locally stating she will put 400 bonds in for a super glam look - my head is in agony even thinking about 400 bonds no matter what weight each one is :)

thankyou xox

Hi!

For a full head it usually 125-175 grams. I don't think it's so much about the bonds but rather the weight of each. I can put in 300 0.5 g bonds or 150 1 g bonds and it's still the same amount of hair! For me it usually ends up being about 150-180 bonds for full head. I make mine about 0.8 g but I vary in size and up smaller tiny bonds near the temple area but more of them and same at the back on the top row. It really depends on clients natural hair how many and what size bonds I have. If someone's hair is very thick I would apply it differently than if someone has very fine hair. Every client is unique.
