I am hoping to open a small beauty salon and i was wondering what other ppl have spent,
i do not currently have a set budget but i would like to set myself a limit

I doubt you are going to get an answer that will be helpful as there are so many variables on rent, rates, brands stocked, target customer, services offered, number of rooms, number of therapists, amount of renovation/fitting needed. You're probably better to work out what it would cost if you had everything you want, then work backwards from there, taking things out and cutting non essential costs to reach a figure.

It's an impossible ask, as the amount spent depends upon lots of things.

The condition of the building can take a lot of cash.

Buying second hand seats, sinks, mirrors etc helps, but never come around when you require them.

Just make a list of the price of new, that's your total you need, chip away at it by begging, borrowing and asking friends and family for help

It sounds like you need to do some research on the area your thinking of, is there much competition in the area? Have you already seen premises? How much is rent/rates etc. What treatments do you want to offer? What brands do you want to stock - do they have opening orders? What decor/image do you want? Logo design, price list, website, signage, external & internal salon fit out, equipment, furniture the list can go on.
You need to have a budget and a business plan. These are the first basics.

£20k? £30k? Easily more? so many factors.

Like the others said it depemds. If you do a lot yourselves it brings the cost down. But I've just spent 12k on a very very bloody tight budget! And building work was 4k alone.......It's difficult though x
