Hi everybody I'm from Canada I own a homebase nail salon which is been doing really good however I'm not sure what to charge or what everybody thinks these nails are worth? It is gel and shellac.
I think these look a high end price - match whatever your equal salon equivalent is charging.
Don't under price yourself just because you work form home.
I don't do acrylics, just shellac, and I list 3 prices:
Standard shellac colour (so straight from the bottle) £x
with Simple nail art ( such as full glitter OR a stamped design) £x + £3
with Complex nail art (2 different designs such as glitter and stamping) £x + £7
If they just have a couple of nails with nail art I just add the extra price calculated per nail
I used tips that have grown out so this was just a fill with shellac on top. For a full set price I have been charging 65 that includes two ring finger designs with shellac but I'm starting to think I'm not charging enough when people want a full hand design like the photo I showed above. Most clients don't want that but I do get inquiries often and I never know what to quote especially because shellac it isn't as easy to work with because it becomes tacky quickly and then you're not getting half as much as you would if I was using another gel polish brand so I really want to make sure I'm not wasting product and charging a good amount
I was just about to say HOW MUCH!?!??? & checked your profile first, I see that's $$$ & not £££'s!! I've just checked & see that's just over £40. As far as services over here go I would say that's a fair price! As far as the Nailart, I charge more for 1-2 fingers with design than I would for a whole set as it takes more time stamping , waiting to dry etc as doing the whole lot would probably take the same amount of time! HTH x
