It’s my space that I rent. But struggling. I’m doing tues/thu/Friday 9-5. 9-12 wed they close at 12. On average do every other Saturday or when needed. (Wouldn’t see my hubby otherwise) I take my own bookings. Everything you see in pic is mine apart from the chairs. It’s a small village hairdressers. Currently pay 40% and I’m in North Wales.
I’m in a top floor flat, with 4 flights of stairs. Landlord won’t allow it anyway and acrylic sets the fire alarm off. unfortunately I don’t drive so can’t go mobile either.
I was looking for advice as I wanted to approach salon owner with £50 per week, just wondered if that was viable.
Then I could reduce pricing as I wouldnt be paying 40% anymore. Which should bring clients in!
If you provide all your own products and take your own bookings then 40% is way too high . What is the average you are having to pay her each week? . Saturdays is normally the busiest day so you are losing out on clients that work mon to fur as you don't do any late nights either x
Yes I think that is reasonable . When I rented a table many moons ago it was a flat rate not on percentage. Its not a million miles away from what she is getting now so give it a go
It was ok at the beginning. The other option would be £20 a day but Id only do 2 days a week. So £10 a day would be more coverage. Better for both of us xx
