Hi ladies, I'm just wondering how I can appear on google without having to type in my business name. If I put beauty Therapist and my town I don't come up at all on any of the pages?! X

A lot of variables.

It depends on how your website was built, the on-page SEO (search engine optimisation), the off-page SEO, website content & keyword competition. On-page SEO you can do yourself with some learning but most of the magic is in off-page SEO and can be costly depending on your location and competition.

There is no short cut and it's a long term goal. The right website will give you the best foundation.

It goes by what your name is - your txt on your website & how many hits you are achieving

So for example putting " i am a beauty therapist working in Glasgow" won't achieve as high a rating as " I am the beauty therapist Glasgow is missing"
As there aren't any words between therapist and Glasgow if that makes sense it's so confusing lol

Actually, that's not quite right. In fact, more complex and engaging content works better than obvious keywords in content. Google is far smarter than it used to be and can read and interpret the data correctly.

Also, hits don't mean much as if you were that way inclined you can buy hits for little money but it's pointless.

Name also has nothing to do with it.
