Help!!! I had acrylics nail tips put on and can't get the bloody thumb nails off! I soaked the rest off no problems but the thumbs are stubborn and NOTHING is working! My local saloon (I live in a remote village) has told me to do it at home lol. I was using acetone, cotton pads and wrapping in foil for an hour- didn't even make a dent! Any home suggestions please? :D

I have started to put acetone in a small glass bowl just enough to dip your nail in put this in a larger bowl of water that has been in the microwave for two minutes leaving your nail dipped in for a couple of minutes at a time then filling it and repeating, I wouldnt recommend doing this all time as it will dry out your skin also but to get one pesky nail off wont hurt

As it is the same products on your thumbs as in on the rest of your nails...then it will soak off lol!
It just may take a bit longer.

Place acetone in a small bowl then place it in a larger bowl which has warm/hot water in it then place the thumbs in the acetone. Place a towel over the top to save you from breathing in the evaporating vapours and keep the heat in. Then be patient it will soak off.

I see a previous poster has mentioned heating the WATER in a microwave, ,fair enough but a kettle will do! Just don't get confused and think you can heat the acetone in a microwave as is it a highly flammable product and will explode

Thanks, I'll give them another bash later! :D
