Hello...first post...was wondering this for a long time but... I'm going for a rather complex hairstyle for a guy:

however here's what i usually end up looking like, only a lot less fabulous:
Anyways, his parting is to the left, however my left parting is...significantly thinner, and looks like a cowlick (although im sure it isnt). Point is my hair isnt as full, my smaller parting around my ears aren't as volumed, and my hairs a wavy curly mess. Of course, I haven't trimmed in a few months to get the length, I know, but, i wanted advice on what precautions to take. I think i have rather thin density as my scalp is quite visible when wet. What else, its quite frizzy a lot of the time, and the curls/waves don't help
