I have just got these orly gel varnishes, there a nightmare to get off I used acetone.. Has anyone used these before and
how do you Remove them. Thanks

Will your product supplier not give you help and support re removal of this product?

As a gel it will require that you file the surface first to 'break it up' and then you would apply a wrap with remover and wrap them up for the required time.

I am happy I do not have to take this step with Shellac.

I had a demo of Orly gelFX and it took ages to remove I buffed, wrapped and tried at 10 minutes, 15, 20,25 and eventually just filed it off!

Sticking to shellac!

This Orly video shows you how to do it

It seems to be exactly the same the removal for Gelish and Gelicure which I use. I did do the training for both so I've never had any problems. Once you get the hang of it, I'm sure it will be easy. Orly are a good company but are late to the gel polish party, I'm sure they wouldn't have produced something that is more difficult to remove than other gel polish brands.

Hi I removed mine last night using the foil wraps that came in my kit. Such an easy process, if you follow the instructions with the kit and use the correct products.

Bless old orly! I've invested in it, the course, the LED lamp and the remover are very important!! If I use different acetones they don't work as well, I do have to buff the topcoat of gel but I'm quite happy with that!! The lamp is brill, LED is bloomin brill :) I love my orly's, the varnishes have kept me in business for nearly a decade! Cheers to orly, they've made a really good product! Just make sure u know how to use it fully, all the different gel polishes are applied and removed in their own special ways lol!!

I have just changed from shellac to orly I do love shellac but I tried the orly out as they sell it in my wholesalers and it saves me on delivery charges and I love it it's just as good as shellac it lasts just as long and is as shiny I don't buff the nail only if there is slight flaking and then I just use a 240 on the ends I wrap and soak off the same as I do with shellac it takes 10-12 mins any remainder I never buff off I use an orange wood stick to remove the last traces. At your wholesale they should give you step by step instructions if they haven't then ask for them! It's a great product and the colours are the same as the polishes so great if client us having a pedicure as well.keep layers thin it's thicker than shellac.

I have been using orly gel fx and to remove this polish you have to break the top coat seal simply by filing it off and then by soaking a piece of cotton pad with a square piece of foil and wrap around I time mine for 15 mins and check if its flaking then I can effectively using my scraping tool to remove but if not I keep it under wraps for a further ten mins the more the layers of polish the longer I have to leave the remover pads on. I have used my hairdryer to heat up the foils for three mins to speed up the process it helps!

Did you apply the gel?
Is better to use a heated wheat bag so you don't dry out the remover.
