Hi everyone. I have a client who would like the chevron nails from the photo attached. Instead of gold glitter she wants a holo glitter. I'll be using OPI gel and Lecente glitters on her natural nails.

Question 1: How would any of you do this?
2: Which holo would you recommend? Thanks X

For that design I would:

* Paint the nail white
* Use tape to create the chevrons and press down well
* Pat the glitter into the inhibition layer with a brush, being careful not to spread it beyond the tape
* Paint the blue and cure
* Paint a second layer of blue and pull off all all the tape
* Cure again
* Top coat and cure
* Second top coat if required

Use a very fine glitter or it can look lumpy round the edge when you pull off the tape.

I would do a complete rockstar nail in gold glitter and seal with a clear colour coat or top coat.

then go in with white over two thirds of the nail and do the diagonal smile line clean up with a gel brush and IPA and cure.

Then using a striper brush add the green bits and clean up with IPA if needed and cure and topcoat

I use Gelish so I'd

Paint the nails white, cure

Paint on the green pattern, tidy with cleanse/ipa & cure

Mix loose glitter with structure gel, apply where wanted, cure then top it off

When you say you'd paint on the green pattern, do you mean by hand? And what would you use, brush-wise?

It looks so precise I can't imagine ever being able to get anything so straight and perfect by hand [emoji33]

Nail vinyls!
I did these with vinyls!

Yes paint the white nails cure and the two solid color and cure
When the white is an acceptable opaqueness then wipe off the tacky layer and apply the nail vinyls with tweezers push down and into the nail edge too. Then I fill the small areas with a dotting tool or small brush. Cure then pull off vinyl gently and fill in color if needed cure etc

You can do the same for the glitter. You'll have to double top coat.
PM me if you have questions

Oh wouldn't be able to get it 100% precise like in the picture no way. but I don't get on with striping tape at all! Lol So freehand would be my best bet. x

Use nail vinyls!!!! Way easier that the tape

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies. X
