Feeling somewhat deflated at the moment, have just finished a customer and I'm feeling pretty pants.
I thought I was doing ok. Business is picking up as people are getting savvey that nail enhancements shouldn't look like door stops. I had a lady last night with white tips half way up her nails bed, painted with gel, no reinforcing the stress area, and they felt bumpy sorted them out and she left chuffed, but after seeing a lady today, I see I have soooooo much more to learn, I feel alittle inadequate.
A lady phoned last night asking for L & P. I explained that my main system's are gel or fibreglass. I was honest with her and explained that my white powder wasn't brilliant so if she wanted L & P, I would just go over with pink. She's on holiday, said she was happy with that.
I just seen the most amazing set of L & P. No lifting, beautiful c curve, not to long and a smile line that's perfect. I tried to file the acrylic down slighty but I didn't seem to be getting anyway fast. She said they use drills at her other salon to reduce the acrylic. Anyway, shape wise, nice and smooth, her nails are finished but I get the impression she is disappointed with them.
Feeling sligtly deflated at the amount of work I have infront of me to produce L & P perm french like those.
I'm also fed up with people's assumption that their nails will be done in an hour. I'm sick and tired of my times being compared to a bl**dy drill.
Where is the sunshine today?
