I used to get quite bad lifting on certain clients to be honest I think my zone 3 was a little thick but It can be down to how clients look after there nails too, I did an 3 week infill on my friend tonight (she has 2 young kids hands always in water etc but uses her solar oil every night) hardly any lifting apart from one which she caught while cleaning her bbq with no gloves tut tut lol but I have another friend who has no kids an office job and is constanly breaking nails and has lifting alot but I catch her with her fingers in her mouth all the time!!! lol dont give up and try not to get disheartend as long as you are preping well and applying well it is not your falut xx

darlin dont worry when i first started doing nails i was **** . but threw practice and and watching others i started to get better . you i want it you gatta work for it its not gonna just happen xxx

Wish i's have thought of the blu tac tip when i was practicing......

I might just have a go anyway,,,thats a fab tip x

Hi,

I'm also in the same boat and feeling the same, I posted a comment about this myself tonight, I like the bluetac idea i think i will give that a try. From reading this blog I think Zone 3 may be my pitfall to.

Keep going and good luck

Jx

ahhh the dreaded zone 3...lol

hi, I too feel like giving up! im having exactly the same problems, I was just wondering if you got it sorted? and how you were doing now?

My friend has just come back to me having her infills done on thursday night and all of her nails have started to lift already! Sometimes I feel like giving up because I don't have a lot of time to practice but I have invested too much money into this and there is no way I am giving up now!
If it wasn't for this site and the excellent training I have had I probably would have packed it all in but with plenty of perserverence (spelling!) I KNOW that I can make it.
I have tried so many things in my life so far and given up so now I am focusing all that energy into Nails and hopefully one day I will achieve the standard of nails that I would expect!

I believe that it isn't always what a product looks like at the very first full set - it's how it performs when it comes to rebalance after rebalance.

NSI has had a good dig at CND lately with their advertising campaigns but it comes down to top education and HOW the product performs with longevity. (it's poor marketing to show three nails done, when it's the exact same nail shot photographed 3 times)

I only know what I hear time after time about how CND performs not only on the off, but 'after' when clients come back - no yellowing, no lifting, no problem.

If you have your PREP right, then everything else falls into place. So I guess my point is that no matter what you use... get your preperation of the natural nail plate PERFECT and your chosen product should work at the optimum for YOU!

I have used both CND & NSI (not simultaneously!) for long periods & have had the exact same results with both.(good looking, long lasting, non yellowing durable nails) No complaints whatsoever with either manufacturer.

I guess at the end of the day it comes down to practice, practice, practice..... don't give up & if you persevere, learn from your mistakes you will get there!

I am really going to put my neck on the block here and am ready for all comments fired at me, with previous products that I used, I "thought" that I was doing perfect prep, I know now I wasn't. Since I have been using CND, apart from the cannibals and serial pickers, I get little to no lifting at all now. With my own nails I have no lifting. I will go as far as to say since using CND my rebalances are so much easier.

Prep is the key.

I'm still really new at this and had the same problem. In the end I discovered that my product was too wet. I had been deliberately using it too wet to allow myself more time to sculpt (wrong, I know!) and as I got more confident, I was able to use a dryer mix and 'Hey Presto' the lifting stopped. I still get some lifting occasionally but overall its improved a LOT! Good luck with it.

Hi!

Why don't you have a one to one with your local NSI educator?
When I was starting out, I went through what you are going through now.

Two hours with my NSI eduator and so many problems were solved and it build up my confidence again.
