I'm thinking of investing in ibx, was going to ages ago but never did. Is it still popular for you? What kind of prices do you charge? Do you use it more as a standalone treatment? Thanks ☺

I introduced IBX in January and I have quite a few clients having it regularly either under their shellac or with a manicure service.
REALLY good results!
I charge £5 extra on top of whatever they are having or a course of 4 treatments for £16.
I have 2 ladies who have very soft delaminated nails who are soooo much better now. Before IBX I was lucky if they got to day 10 with their shellac. Now they both go 3 weeks with virtually no chips even then.

Definitely invest!

I use it several times a week on clients. Sometimes on its own, sometimes under shellac. Very good results on both, the shellac now lasts a week or so longer too

I charge £10 first session then £6 thereafter x

Thanks you for the replies, it's good to know that it's still a popular treatment x

Sorry can I jump in as I've been looking into this! I've had some new beauty clients that want to try shellac but won't as they say their "nails are terrible" I've seen some flaky and damaged nails lately!
I take it ibx would help people like this?
If they use it a few times under gel polish can they then stop using it and carry on with a gel polish?
Can it go on alone to get the nails in a good condition before ladies want to try anything else on thier nails?
Can you still use cuticle oil as normal?also in regards to pricing, if the first treatment was charged as Blossom said £10 then £6. If they stop for a few months then want it again do you start off with the £10 again as you use 2 coats??
Thanks ladies X

I stopped offering it once they introduced the training for it as I doubt I'd be insured for it if I'm not trained X

Have you spoken to your insurance company? Often it will cover anything you can prove you are competent in. The process of application is similar enough to applying gel polish that you should be covered.

If you are concerned, it is worth having a chat with them.

Hi have you checked with your insurance company if you Definately need training?
Surely it's not essential you train in it if it was sold before they introduced courses? Also it applies in the same way as polish doesn't it? With full instructions as what to do.

I haven't asked them, it's been mentioned on here before when the training was introduced.

To prove I'm competent I'd need a qualification. My insurance only covers me for exactly what's on my certificates.
Similar to some companies not covering for nail art unless you've done a course on it

Is it me or does anyone else think it's gone a bit too far - hardly likely to do any damage with a striper or rhinestones after all. It's gone nuts

The instructions for using IBX are so straight forward I can't see that anyone who is qualified in manicure and using a uv light would need to go on further training.
Training course in IBX is a Money spinner me thinks !

I emailed them regarding this....No training required!
Let's be honest, a numpty could apply this. :p

That's where the money is ........TRAINING!
