If you straighten hair before you curl it, does it make it harder to curl? I always straighten a clients hair after i have put extensions in to make sure it looks good straight and that the cut is straight and neat. Then i curl the hair. This is how it looks

But i want it to look like this...

I use a cloud 9 waving wand, and the lady who has done the above does too!

I section the hair into three sections and wrap about an inch under the barrel away from the face keeping it flat rather than twisted and hold it for about 10 seconds. I comb it out after its all done - dont know where i am going wrong! x

The waving wand is quite a large barrel and the hair will be heavy from the extensions. Could you try pinning the curls so they cool down in the clips for 5-10 mins and lightly spray before dressing it out, it should be a bit former then.

How big are the sections you take?

I section the hair into the three sections where the weave are, and take about an inch thick section, wrapping them flat around the iron rather than twisting them.x

Do you layer your weave through of just trim the ends???

Try using a smaller wand! Is it curly once you've released the curl?

Yeah I leave the curl in my hand to cool then drop it and it is more wavy than curly x

With that pic they are bonds and Liane will have lightly layered the hair to give it the bounce. You can see in your pic as it hasn't been layered all the curl will drop with the weight of the weft

How did you know it was lianes lol! She used to do my weave for me until I had all my hair cut off she's amazing! So do you think I need to cut into the weft more? Would taking vertical sections and putting my scissors down them to take a bit of the weight off help?

Cause it's on her page [emoji85] I would be more inclined to razor it they use scissors as they can tug

Sharp scissors on soft extensions shouldn't tug.

That's why I said can and not do.

Remember your hair science.....Alpha....Beta.....:p
Once in Beta, it will be difficult/tricky/impossible, to curl the hair without re-damping!

Thanks everyone - have another client Thursday so will try taking some of the weight out and maybe just straightening the ends to check x
