Hi you all!!!:) im here atlast ive recently qaulified in man/ped plus cosmetic make-up VTCT & then only just done a 2 day course in gel nails in college too which incidentaly was crap coz ive only learnt from this wonderfull site!!! can anyone out there give me some tips on gel & tips etc im using star nails at mo??

Best thing to do is have a good read through all the tutorials as they are just fab, and then if you aren't sure of something then give us something more specific to go on hun! I've not used Star's gel so I can't comment on the brand, there may be others who have who could give you more specific help. Sounds like you need some further hands on training to improve on your skills.

thanks

Hi hon,

I think Sassy Hassy is right read through the tutorials, as they are brill and then if you can do a 1-2-1 I would!

I have just done that and learnt loads more than all the months doing my collage course. If you have completed the collage course then you will know the important bits about hygyine, customer care/records, contra-indications etc, but the actual being able to see how it is done and having your educator to yourself is brilliant, everything sort of falls into place and it's ahhhhhh that's how you do it lol if you know what I mean.

Goodluck xx

I love this site too, I have learned so much from being here.

I don't post a great deal cos i am too busy reading and absorbing the info.

Hi there,
Why dont you contact some companies ~ Creative, Ezflow, Biosculpture, NSI ~ and make enquiries about training and conversion courses. As you have previous experiance it will probably not be as expensive as you are anticipating. Worth a go..

Yeah me too ive learny sooo much just by reading the threads etc im forever storing the websites too incase i forget anything!!! lol its an age thing!!

Creative will send you out an Education Folio which explains the courses they offer in detail, I would ask for that first and see what you think. If you want to train with Creative you might be better to go for the Five Day foundation Course rather than a conversion course. I have only trained with Creative so cant advise on other companies just trying to give other options. I am sure if you do a search on training I am sure you will find loads of threads with advice on Creative and other companies.

Hiya,

I have just done mine with Sue Simms (millennium nails) I was lucky because she is based very close to me.

There are so many great educators out there and great products that you need to do a search and some research - and then way up the plus points - you know like reputation, closeness, cost, lenght of course - maybe try a couple of try-me kits, and then kinda decide for yourself - sorry if this isn't very helpful but if you read alot of posts, alot of technician have tried a few and found their favourite!

Hugs
